Mandair Farms

My name is Ramneek Kingra, and I am the Manager of Mandair Farms, a family-run berry farm located in Abbotsford, British Columbia. I have worked with the farm for over ten years, and during that time my focus has been on finding ways to extend the value of our harvest beyond the fresh season while staying true to our roots as growers. Mandair Farms is primarily a berry farm, and over the years we have expanded into producing shelf-stable products such as jams, chutneys, and pickles. This work began as a way to reduce food waste and make better use of our fruit, particularly surplus berries that might otherwise be lost. It has also allowed us to create products that can be enjoyed throughout the winter months, while supporting greater job stability for our full-time staff during the off-season. We have been producing preserves on our farm for approximately five years and are now entering our second year of participating in major shows.
